Solar Panel Installers

We have spent a lot of time selecting a range of products that deliver what our customers want.  At present we generally use the following manufacturers:

• En-phase
• Solar Edge 
• Tesla
• Giv-energy 
• Puredrive

Feed in Tariff, also known as FIT ended in April 2019 and has been replaced by the Smart Energy Guarantee – SEG.

If you had solar panels installed before April 2019 then you will continue to receive payments from your energy company up to 20 years after the install date.

For new installations SEG pays a varying amount per Kwh exported. The amount varies depending on which energy company your with so it is worth considering and researching when comparing energy suppliers.

Most manufacturers give a 25 year warranty with their panels.  There is approximately a 1% per annum decrease in solar panel output so after 25 year they are at about 80% of the original output. 

They are self cleaning to a certain extent particularly if mounted at an angle.

However, they will have some sort of dirt and debris build up over time so a cleaning regime is a good idea.  Local surroundings and conditions will dictate how often this should take place.

It is very much dependent on both how much electricity you use, and the size of the solar system installed.

In the majority of cases, a solar renewable energy system will not meet all of your electrical needs. Despite this, it is possible that the income you receive from the Smart Energy Guarantee will help towards paying for both your electricity and gas bills, making these less costly for you.

Your systems APP allows you to see the performance of your solar panels on a mobile phone or tablet. The APP will give real time information on generation , electricity use, battery charging and export to grid.

The App can get quite addictive!

The cost of solar panel manufacturing has reduced significantly in past few years. This means you will have reduced energy costs as well as helping the environment, by using a renewable energy source.

Solar panels can be affected by shading. We will check this during the survey and if needed Optimisers can be used to minimise the effect of shading on the array.

Typically, 1-2 days. This could be longer for a larger installation, however an estimate will be given during the free survey and assessment.

We only install products on a supply and fit basis to ensure correct specification and installation.   Should warranties need to be used it is a much simpler process if the installer is also the supplier.
